Yes, it runs Doom.

The engine is our Gore fork, using the open-source Freedoom game data. Pipit runs in WebAssembly in a dedicated worker, and every game tick is Go source interpreted by Pipit. The browser build uses Pipit's portable Go dispatch rather than its assembly dispatch, so it is the slowest form of the interpreter. See the interpreter benchmarks for native numbers.
